“Out of clutter, find simplicity.” –Albert Einstein. Scheduling our lives around family, work, and other obligations can be a hectic process; however, it doesn’t need to be. To help our users simplify life and use time wisely, we’d like to introduce our July Spotlight: Convenient Calendar, a Phoenix-based company dedicated to helping its users simplify and organize their busy lives.
This free, easy-to-use website offers a triple threat of features that sets it apart from a typical online calendar: shared calendars to help you maintain different schedules and events for different groups of people, an address book that will automatically update when your contacts change their information, and the ability to upload photos to each of your groups’ photo albums. According to Stephen Tong, one of the site’s creators, their “goal is to provide a one stop website to keep family, friend, and group events organized and the information needed to get in contact with each other.”
Though it has only been a few months since the beta site was made public, the company has not wasted any of its time in securing its online presence on multiple social media sites. Convenient Calendar utilizes its profiles on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter with set goals. With their Twitter profile they plan to publicize new updates, changes, downtime, etc… to benefit their users. They also will use it to promote the best articles from their blog, and to stay connected with various companies in the Twitterverse. They also plan to use their Facebook page, which currently has over 200 fans, to share the same type of news and information. Understanding the power of a strong business network, they also maintain a Bizogy profile to find recommended companies for possible work in the future.
Writing informative articles on their blog and connecting with their users on Facebook has been successful in spreading the word about Convenient Calendar. To read an article written by one pleased user, visit Freelance Weekly and read “Convenient Calendar: the Name Says It All.”
